The Lush Valentine’s Day range is something I’ve been anxiously anticipating since about a week before Christmas.
Lush just does Valentine’s Day products so well, and this year is no exception.
While I will be doing reviews of several of the products from the range, I wanted to kick it off with a brand new, very popular, super adorable bath bomb.
This bomb is called Cupid, and it’s perfect.
It’s light pink and clearly shaped like a heart struck by Cupid’s arrow.
It’s definitely on the smaller side as far as Lush’s bath bombs go, ringing in at 2.8 oz as opposed to the standard 5.5-7.0 0z ballistics. Though, it is a few dollars cheaper and was still plenty of product for a bath.
The most important part of this product is definitely the scent. Most people agree this is a floral raspberry type scent, the same in fact, as the Razzle Dazzle bath oil. The Lush website even describes it as the scent of “sweet, summery raspberries”. I, however, found that this bomb smells entirely of violet. I don’t really get any raspberry in this. I’d maybe call it a sweet violet, but to my nose, this is Kerbside Violet fragrance through and through.
Don’t get me wrong though, Kerbside Violet is my favorite perfume, so I love the scent.
Aside from that, the colors are lovely. It fizzes a pale pink initially, with some bright fuschia that eventually spews out from the center, leaving the water the perfect shade of pink.
This bath bomb is quite simple (to me at least) and has a very strong smell. I loved the color it turned the water and I think this would make a great gift for a loved one on Valentine’s Day.
